I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch No. 78 of the 13th August containing two half-yearly Statements of the Special Fund, intimating that a sum might be remitted for the Police Force, & that the carpenter's work should be charged to the Special Fund.
The Colony derived large assistance last year from this fund, as all the expenses connected...
